Anatomy of a New Scene
Opening Layout, or starting a new scene, you are presented with the view above
A new scene in LightWave always contains three things:
- A Camera
- A Distant Light for directional lighting
- An Environment Light for the background of the scene
You can delete one of the two lights, but a scene in LightWave always requires at least one light and a camera. This is the only moment in Layout where you can have nothing selected. By default, Layout is in Object mode at the start of a new scene but there are no objects present.
