LightWave President Rob Powers recently visited students and artists in Italy and Spain to discuss everything from real-world production tips to upcoming technology advancements in the works from the LightWave 3D Group. Students at the Università di Tor Vergata in Rome, Italy and FX Animation School in Barcelona, Spain turned out in droves to meet Powers and see the latest advancements in LightWave. Powers, in turn, was impressed by the exceptional projects these talented students and artists are creating with LightWave, making the trip all the more rewarding.
"I was blown away by the amazing talent the students at both these schools possess," explains Powers. "It was so incredible to be able to share the latest features of LightWave with them and to get their enthusiastic feedback. The students in Italy were so excited about LightWave 11.5, it was hard to get them to stop applauding.
"The energy and enthusiam from the students and artists in both Rome and Barcelona was contagious. This was a trip that will stay with me for a long time. I learned so much from these talented artists and look forward to following their work as they move through their professional careers."
