Like Maya's Euler Filter, it attempts to fix the curves to avoid jumps of 180 degrees usually originated when converting from other systems of rotation (baking sims or quaternions).
This one works on entire motions, but the algorithm might be a bit non mathematical and seems to fail in a few cases. Still it is quite useful.
